Cruise vessels moor along the Corniche and along the docks, and the mooring position is assigned by the port on the day. A boat listed at one berth in your confirmation can be moored somewhere else entirely by the time you land, and vessels are frequently moored side by side, so reaching yours can mean crossing the deck of another. This is normal in Aswan and not something to worry about, but it is why a driver who knows the docks is worth more here than almost anywhere else in Egypt.
