Overview

About your Nile cruise.

Experience one of Egypt's classic journeys on a 4-night Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan, combining comfortable full-board accommodation with guided visits to the remarkable temples and archaeological sites of Upper Egypt.

Begin in Luxor, the world's greatest open-air museum, where you will explore the impressive Karnak and Luxor Temples before crossing to the West Bank to discover the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.

As your cruise sails south toward Aswan, enjoy the peaceful scenery of the Nile and stop to visit the remarkably preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu and the unique riverside Temple of Kom Ombo.

In Aswan, discover the beautiful Philae Temple, the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk before completing your Nile journey.

What the Standard category means

Standard vessels are 5-star boats with everything the journey needs and nothing beyond it. Cabins are compact but comfortable at around 14 to 18 square meters, air-conditioned, with a private bathroom and a picture window onto the river. Dining is buffet-style with Egyptian and international dishes at every meal. Onboard you will find a restaurant, a lounge, a sun deck and a pool.

These are typically the older or less recently refurbished boats on the river. The food, the guiding and the temples are the same as on every other category — what you are trading is cabin space and the newness of the fittings.

Standard suits travelers who plan to spend their days ashore at the temples and want the vessel to be a comfortable place to sleep and eat rather than a destination in itself. The specific boat is confirmed on request from our Standard fleet.
