Port Ghalib is the closest zone to the airport
Marsa Alam's hotels are spread along more than a hundred kilometres of coastline, and transfer times vary enormously depending on which direction you are heading. Port Ghalib sits just north of the airport, which makes it the quickest arrival in the region — a real advantage after a long charter flight, particularly with children.
Guests staying south of the airport towards Marsa Alam City can be in the car considerably longer. Because we price by zone rather than by hotel, that shorter drive is reflected in what you pay.
A marina town, not an isolated resort
Port Ghalib is a purpose-built marina development rather than a single hotel on an empty stretch of coast. It has a waterfront promenade, restaurants outside the hotels, shops and a working marina, which makes it the one part of Marsa Alam where there is somewhere to walk to in the evening.
That also means addresses here are more specific than elsewhere on this coast. Several hotels sit around the same marina and their entrances are not all on the same road. Give us your hotel name when you book and your driver takes you to the correct entrance rather than to the general marina area.
