Coraya Bay is a bay, not a strip of coast road
Most of the hotels in this zone sit around Coraya Bay, a single sheltered bay a short drive north of the airport. The hotels share the bay and the beach, and several of them have entrances off the same internal road.
That closeness is why guests arriving at night sometimes end up at the wrong reception. Give us your hotel name when you book and your driver takes you to the correct entrance rather than to the bay in general.
Names in this zone are easy to confuse
There are several Jaz properties here with similar names, and more than one Steigenberger. Jaz Solaya and Jaz Samaya are one letter apart. Amara, Dar El Madina and Neo Reef are all in the same area.
If you are not certain which one you have booked, check your hotel voucher rather than guessing — and if you are still unsure, send us the booking reference on WhatsApp and we will identify it for you. Getting the name right at the booking stage saves a phone call at midnight in the arrivals hall.
Arriving on a charter flight
Most arrivals into Marsa Alam are charter flights from Europe, and they tend to land in waves — several aircraft within the same hour, then nothing for a long stretch. Passport control and baggage claim can take a while when three flights land together.
