Our Fleet
A private transfer from Luxor to Hurghada city, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh or Safaga — 230 to 290 km depending on your resort, four to five hours. Door to door, travel permit included, one fixed price per vehicle.
A private Luxor to Hurghada transfer takes four to five hours across the Eastern Desert and up the Red Sea coast. We collect from your hotel in Luxor, on either bank, and take you to your hotel in Hurghada city, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh or Safaga.
The road
The route runs about 230 km from Luxor across the desert to Safaga, then north along the coast to the resort areas. The desert section is the long part — open, empty, and largely without services.
Two things worth knowing. Mobile signal is unreliable across the desert, so download anything you need before setting off. And there is nowhere useful to stop for long, so we plan the break rather than looking for one.
Once you reach the coast the drive changes completely: sea on one side, Red Sea hills on the other.
Which resort area you are heading to
Coming from Luxor you reach the coast at Safaga and travel north, which reverses the usual order. Safaga is the first stop, then Makadi Bay, then Sahl Hasheesh, then Hurghada city — so the city is the furthest of the four, not the nearest.

Travel permits — included, and handled for you
Transfers that cross a governorate boundary in Egypt require a travel permit arranged in advance. Luxor to Hurghada crosses one.
We handle it. The permit, the road tolls and the checkpoint formalities are all included in the price you are quoted — nothing extra to pay and nothing for you to arrange.
What we need is passport details for every traveller, sent at least 24 hours before you travel. Permits cannot be issued at the roadside, so a booking made too late to arrange one is a booking we cannot run.
Door to door, at your own time
We collect from your hotel in Luxor at the time you choose. There is no meeting point to find, no shared vehicle, and no other passengers to wait for.
If you are connecting to a flight from Hurghada, give us the flight number and we will set the departure time from it rather than asking you to estimate. Five hours of road is not a journey to leave tight.
