Our Fleet
A private transfer from Luxor to El Gouna across the Eastern Desert and up the Red Sea coast — the longest of our Luxor to Red Sea routes, and the one most often underestimated. Door to door, travel permit included, one fixed price per vehicle.
A private Luxor to El Gouna transfer covers around 325 km and takes five to five and a half hours. We collect from your hotel in Luxor, on either bank, and take you to your hotel, apartment or villa in El Gouna.
Why this is the longest Red Sea route from Luxor
The road from Luxor reaches the coast at Safaga, and El Gouna sits at the far northern end of the resort strip — past Soma Bay, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh and Hurghada city.
That makes El Gouna the furthest Red Sea destination from Luxor, not the nearest, which surprises most people looking at a map. It is roughly an hour more than reaching Hurghada city, and it is the reason this route is priced differently from the others.
The road
The route runs from the Nile valley across the Eastern Desert to Safaga, then north along the coast. The desert section is open, empty and largely without services — mobile signal is unreliable for long stretches, so download anything you need before setting off. We plan the rest stop rather than looking for one.
Once you reach the coast the drive changes completely: sea on one side, Red Sea hills on the other, and the resort towns passing one after another.
Travel permits — included, and handled for you
Transfers that cross a governorate boundary in Egypt require a travel permit arranged in advance. Luxor to El Gouna crosses one.
We handle it. The permit, the road tolls and the checkpoint formalities are all included in the price you are quoted — nothing extra to pay and nothing for you to arrange.
What we need is passport details for every traveller, sent at least 24 hours before you travel. Permits cannot be issued at the roadside, so a booking made too late to arrange one is a booking we cannot run.
Finding your address in El Gouna
El Gouna is not a resort strip. It is a purpose-built town spread across lagoons and small islands linked by bridges, divided into districts — Downtown, Abu Tig Marina, South Marina, Mangroovy and the golf area among them. Many properties are apartments and villas rather than hotels, with building references instead of street addresses.
After five hours on the road, circling the town looking for a building is the last thing you want. Give us your district and your building or hotel name when you book and your driver will take you to the door.
Door to door, at your own time
We collect from your hotel in Luxor at the time you choose. There is no meeting point to find, no shared vehicle, and no other passengers to wait for.
Book now, pay on arrival
Reserve today and pay your driver when he arrives — cash in USD, EUR, GBP or EGP, or by card. No deposit, no card details, no prepayment.

Yes. El Gouna is spread across districts and many properties are apartments and villas with building references rather than street addresses. Give us your district and building name when you book and your driver will take you to the door.
Not reliably. Signal drops out across long stretches of the desert section, so download anything you need before setting off.
Per vehicle, one way, up to the vehicle's capacity. A family of four pays the same as a couple travelling in the same car.
