About this tour

A Timeless Journey Through the Heart of Ancient Egypt – Starting from Luxor

Step aboard a 5★ Nile cruise and journey along the world’s most legendary river on this 5-day, 4-night tour from Luxor to Aswan . Perfect for travelers already in Luxor or arriving independently, this cruise offers a rich immersion into Upper Egypt’s ancient past, coupled with the comfort and relaxation of luxury river travel.

Your adventure begins in Luxor, once the mighty capital of ancient Thebes and home to some of the most breathtaking monuments in all of Egypt. Accompanied by a licensed Egyptologist, you will explore the awe-inspiring Karnak Temple, a massive complex that reflects over 2,000 years of pharaonic history, followed by a visit to the beautifully lit Luxor Temple, known for its graceful architecture and connection to ancient festivals.

On the second day, cross the Nile to discover the wonders of the West Bank. Explore the mysterious tombs in the Valley of the Kings, where great pharaohs such as Ramses II and Tutankhamun were buried. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dramatically set into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, and stand in front of the massive Colossi of Memnon, which have guarded the Theban Necropolis for over 3,000 years.

As the cruise sets sail, relax on the sun deck or in your air-conditioned cabin, enjoying scenic views of the riverbanks lined with palm trees, mudbrick villages, and distant desert mountains. Your next stops include the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved ancient structures in Egypt, and the Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely shared by two gods—Sobek the crocodile and Horus the falcon.

Your journey concludes in the tranquil city of Aswan, where you’ll visit the elegant island Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis, and marvel at the Aswan High Dam, a marvel of modern engineering that helped shape the future of Egypt. Optional experiences include a felucca sailboat ride, a walk through the colorful Nubian village, or even an early morning excursion to Abu Simbel.
