This journey begins with pickup from your hotel or cruise in Aswan, followed by a comfortable drive north along the east bank of the Nile. Your first stop is Kom Ombo Temple, a unique double temple dedicated to Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus the Elder. Here, you’ll walk through twin sanctuaries, marvel at the carvings, and visit the Crocodile Museum, which showcases real mummified crocodiles and ancient offerings.
Continue to Edfu, where the Temple of Horus stands as the most complete ancient temple in Egypt. Walk through massive courtyards and columns, view sacred hieroglyphs, and experience one of the most spiritually important places in the Ptolemaic period.
Your guide will bring the mythology and symbolism to life as you explore each structure — making this tour as educational as it is impressive. After visiting both temples, you’ll be comfortably returned to Aswan.
